Israel & Jordan sightseeing Program

Day 1: Tel Aviv

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport, assistance and transfer to Tel Aviv. If time permits:
Drive to the old city of Jaffa with its cobblestone streets and reconstructed buildings. Visit the Artists Quarter and view the modern city of Tel Aviv. Continue along the shoreline of the Mediterranean Sea to the White City looking at the Bauhaus style buildings designated as a UNESCO world heritage site and drive through the cultural center of Tel Aviv.
Transfer to your Tel Aviv hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Caesarea – Zichron Yaakov – Haifa- Akko

driving to the north, visiting:
– Caesarea visiting the ancient roman city the Hippodrome Theater and HARBOUR
– ZICHRON YAACOV winery- The historical winery of Baron Edmond de ROTHCHILD
– Haifa- the BAHAI Gardens with a view of Haifa harbor and the bay continue to
– Akko- the Knights Kingdom of the Crusader settlement of 11/12 century AD
AKKO city walls and El JAZZAR mosque dating from the time ottoman empire
dinner and overnight in hotel in the galilee

Day 3 : Safed- hula Valley – Banias – Mount Bental – Tiberias

After Breakfast drive north to visit:
– Safed- known as the city of the KABBALAH (Jewish mysticism) and visiting the
Picturesque little streets Artist quarters with the Galleries synagogues
– the hula and the Banias beautiful nature reserves
– Mount Bental- observation point over the Syrian border
Dinner and overnight in the Galilee

Day 4: Tiberias – Sea of Galilee – Jerusalem

Driving to the sea of Galilee visiting:
– MT of of the Beatitudes
– Church of Multiplication at Tabgha
– Sailing on the Sea of Galilee
– Jordan River Baptism Site (Yardenit near Tiberias or kasr el yahud near Jericho)
View Jericho (the oldest city in the world) from the observation point
Proceed to Jerusalem passing by Beth Shean SCYTHOPOLIS (ancient Roman City)
if day light permits view ST GEORGES monastery on the ancient road to Jerusalem
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem

Day 5: Jerusalem

– Observation point panoramic view from the Mount of Olives
– Church of All Nations
– Via Dolorosa Road and the Holy Sepulcher
– Jewish Quarter-and the observation point of the Temple Mount (Dome of the Rock + Al Aqsa)
– the Western Wall holiest JEWISH FAITH site (remnants of two 3000 and 2000 Years old temples)
– City Center (choice of free time or a visit of 2000 year old Dead Sea scrolls at the Israel Museum)
dinner and overnight in a Jerusalem hotel

Day 6: Jerusalem – Bethlehem – Jerusalem

– Crossing the separation wall into Bethlehem- town where both KING DAVID and JESUS were born and visit the Church of the Nativity- view the Knesset (Israeli Parliament and its MENORA (CANDELABRE)
– MAHANE YEHUDA Market ( Free time\ tasting tour on your own) or visit YAD VASHEM Museum of the Holocaust

Day 7: Dead Sea and Masada and the Judean desert

drive to the Judean desert to the national park reserve of EIN GEDI oasis with waterfalls and free wild animal or alternatively visit the national park of Qumran (where the 2000 years old DEAD Sea scrolls were discovered well preserved in natural caves drive to Masada Kings Herod desert fortress cable car to the top and enjoy a fantastic view of the Dead Sea and the KINGDOM JORDAN bathe and float in the Dead Sea saline waters or cross the border into Jordan

Day 8: Jordan

Drive via MADABA and MT NEBO to the Nabatean City of PETRA through the SIKH entrance on Horseback or walking reach the Hidden site of the TREASURY carved into the rose sandstone cliff then along the hundreds of tombstones carved into the Rock we spend the whole day and night on this site
Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Petra

DAY 9: Continue to WADI RUM jeep tour with BEDUINS in the natural wonders of the gateway

Continue to WADI RUM jeep tour with BEDUINS in the natural wonders of the gateway to the desert of ARABIA and end with tea ceremony under a BEDUIN tent continue to AKABA on the Red Sea
Dinner and overnight in AKABA JORDAN

Day 10: Cross the border into ISRAEL and proceed to EILAT

Cross the border into ISRAEL and proceed to EILAT visit the underwater observatory then drive NORTH along the Egyptian border and reach MITZPE RAMON CRATER (UNIQUE WORLD GEOLOGICAL PHENOMENON) continue to BEN GURION TOMB at SDE BOKER DESERT KIBBUTZ and Reach TEL AVIV

DAY 11: Transfer to the BEN GURION AIRPORT assistance to your flight home
